Light rain fell prior to and during the running of the 7th Race. TRIPLE O SEVEN was slow into stride. MALREBELLIO squeezed out shortly after the start losing 1 length. BENGAL BOY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Hill was questioned regarding the improved performance of BENGAL BOY compared to this gelding's previous run on the 25.1.2015. Mr Hill explained that this gelding had over-raced in its previous start and that the rider had reported an abnormal respiratory noise and as a result had not persevered in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon had detected no abnormalities. Mr Hill further explained that the fitting of blinkers today had accounted for the improved performance. Mr Hill's explanation was noted and the future performances of BENGAL BOY will be monitored. BENGAL BOY shifted in approaching the 800 metre mark, resulting in HERE WE ARE becoming unbalanced and making contact with the inside running rail losing position. This resulted in GLOBAL TALK being forced to ease for a number of strides. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. Jockey Cormack reported that VICTORIA'S LOVE was not striding out freely in running. Vet: VICTORIA'S LOVE - severe coughing.
