LUCKY LUCIANO had to steady outwards for two strides at the 100m to avoid the heels of ZANZIBAR MAN, which shifted out suddenly away from the crop. A Stipendiary Steward called a race review regarding this incident which was followed by him lodging an Objection on behalf of LUCKY LUCIANO placed fourth against ZANZIBAR MAN placed third on the grounds of interference at the 100m. The Objection Board after reviewing the patrol films of this incident from the various angles and considering the evidence put forward by all the parties, was of the opinion that as LUCKY LUCIANO had been running on strongly at the time of the incident and had been beaten by a head as given by the Judge, LUCKY LUCIANO would have finished ahead of ZANZIBAR MAN had this incident not occurred and therefore upheld the objection and amended the Judges result. TIME OF SONG was difficult to settle in the early stages. FORM UP and LIGHT THE WAY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ROCCO'S LUCK (AUS) - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: COCKADE - lame right front.
