GULL ROCK, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths, and thereafter was slow into stride. WATERWAYS jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Cheyne reported that CAPTAIN'S CASTLE did not stride out freely in running. In view of the performance from SIR HENRY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. SIR HENRY was pulled hard in the early stages, refused to settle and compounded from the 300m. KURUNDU was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The ownership of ILLINOIS should read: Mr W & Mrs M Rix; and the Colours are: Black, cerise pink chevron, black sleeves, cerise pink armbands and cap. Vet: SIR HENRY - returned choked up and made an abnormal respiratory noise. CAPTAIN'S CASTLE - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
