YOSHI was very stubborn loading and delayed the start, Starting Stalls Certificate withdrawn. INSEARCHOFTHESUN was slow into stride. In view of the Starter's report concerning YOSHIE and this filly's history in the starting stalls, she is suspended for a period of 30 days and is to be recertified tractable in the starting stalls prior to racing again. COPPER PARADE shifted outwards approaching the 450 metre mark and SIR DUKE shifted inwards, which resulted in YOSHIE becoming cramped for galloping room for two strides between them. Jockey Danielson, the rider of UNANNOUNCED (AUS), had his crop struck out of his hand by Jockey Lerena, rider of COPPER PARADE, in the closing stages. Jockey Funeka reported that AL DON CUMARCO took no interest in the running. SIR DUKE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: AL DON CUMARCO - nothing obvious detected.
