The start of this Race was delayed due to WIND AT YOUR BACK proving reluctant to proceed to the start. VARSITY STAR jumped awkwardly. WIND AT YOUR BACK, which was accompanied by a lead pony, proved reluctant to proceed to the start. In view of this gelding's previous history, WIND AT YOUR BACK may not be accepted to race until it has been presented to the satisfaction of the Stewards to proceed to the start. Jockey Chambers reported that WHATS THE TURNOVER did not stride out freely in running. ZENITH cast its right front shoe. Jockey Wrogemann reported that this gelding did not striding out freely in running. Jockey Brown reported that CHESHIRE CAT choked up in running. Jockey Maleking reported that PEGGED FOR GLORY changed stride continually in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. THE QUEEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ZENITH, BOSTON LEGAL and PEGGED FOR GLORY raced in Club Colours with the Stewards permission. PEGGED FOR GLORY raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: WHATS THE TURNOVER - not striding out right front. CHESHIRE CAT - not striding out right front. ZENITH - lame left front. PEGGED FOR GLORY - not striding out left front. Scratched: CROKE PARK - off feed. ON THIS ROCK - coughing. STEP IT UP and FLY ME HIGH - no transport available. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. En route to the course Assistant Trainer Miller was involved in an incident in which the colours and passports Trainer Sham's runners engaged at today's race meeting (PALINODE, CHESAPEAKE, HERMANUS, KINSLEY, MOUNTAIN RUSH, SYLVIIDAE, HOSTILE TAKEOVER, PEGGED FOR GLORY and ZENITH) were stolen. Permission was granted for these horses to be identified by means of their microchip numbers and to race in Club Colours.
