The Board reviewed the start of this race and established that the handler allocated to SAME JURISDICTION had been slow to release this filly's head as the gates opened and that the left front gate bounced back and struck SAME JURISDICTION on the head and she had been impeded as a result. The Board declared SAME JURISDICTION a non-runner. TROPHY WIFE was unbalanced at the 1400m when it was awkwardly placed between the heels of NOT SULKING, which rolled out slightly, and WHATALADY, which rolled in slightly. Jockey Danielson, the rider of TROPHY WIFE, had his crop accidentally struck from his hand at the 150m. ARCETRI PINK (AUS) was hanging in from the 300m. Jockey Marcus reported that he felt something amiss with NOT SULKING in running. Jockey Simons reported that ENCHANTED SILK did not stride freely in running. An Admission of Guilt was issued to Jockey Delpech for a contravention in that, whilst riding the horse MAJMU (AUS), he saluted in a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line. MAJMU (AUS) and TROPHY WIFE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: NOT SULKING - not striding out left front. WHATALADY - speedy cut left hind. ENCHANTED SILK - examined post race, no significant findings. SAME JURISDICTION - head wound from pens. SAME JURISDICTION - declared a non-runner.
