Jockey Cheyne reported that CHESTNUT DANCER did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Byleveld reported that he felt something amiss with NIGHT OF STARS in running. In view of the performance from BOLD PIXEL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. Apprentice Carstens, the rider of SEVEN GRAND, dropped his right hand rein for a number of strides approaching the 250m. FLY BY NIGHT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CHESTNUT DANCER - returned lame on the left hind. NIGHT OF STARS and BOLD PIXEL - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. SUNSET TRIPP - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise.
