JUST CHAOS was slow away and lost 3 lengths. WIDOW'S LAMP was slow into stride. MERYL was baulked for a clear run between the 500m and the 400m. Jockey Cheyne reported that LOVE SUPREME took no interest in the running. At approximately the 300m, when racing in a tightly bunch field FLYING SQUADRON had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of RED GINGER, which was carried in by LIBRA, which rolled in marginally. In deciding whether to take action against any individual Rider, the Board considered that the above incident was aggravated by the significant number of runners racing on the inside of the track and the fact that, RED GINGER had already committed to the run on the inside of LIBRA prior to her marginally inward movement. Accordingly, the Board was of the view that blame could not be apportioned to any individual Rider, deemed this to be a racing incident and took no further action. In view of the performance of LIBRA, Trainer Snaith will be requested to report back on the condition of this mare upon return to the stables. STUDIO BLUES raced in Club colours. MERYL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: LOVE SUPREME- nothing obvious detected.
