PREOCCUPATION jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. The start times of Races 5 & 6 were rescheduled at the request of Phumelela. Jockey Cheyne, the rider of WHAT FUN, reported that the saddle slipped back in the early stages of the race, which resulted in him being unable to fully assist the filly thereafter. QUICK STEP ROSIE, which over-raced in the early stages, brushed the inside running rail approaching the 1000m and became unbalanced. DOMINA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Carstens rode his 40th winner on DOMINA, will continue to claim a 2,5kg allowance to the end of today's race meeting, and thereafter his apprentice allowance will be 1,5kg until he rides his 60th winner.
