THE CAPTAIN'S TUNE lost one length. SHADOW OFHIS SMILE and BARACAH were crowded for galloping room shortly after the start. In view of the performance of SHADOW OFHIS SMILE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer Woodruff was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. Apprentice Zackey reported that THE HANGMAN did not act in the going. BROOKS-CLUB was hanging in from the 250m. Jockey Geroudis reported that MEISSA changed stride continually in running. Jockey Wrogemann reported that SOVEREIGN MINT did not act in the going. In view of the performance of SOVEREIGN MINT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. The surcingle of SOVEREIGN MINT became detached approaching the 300m. This equipment was inspected by the Stewards and found to be in order. THE CAPTAIN'S TUNE was hanging out in the latter stages. RUSHMORE RIVER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SHADOW OFHIS SMILE and SOVEREIGN MINT - examined post race, no significant findings. MEISSA - coughing. Scratched: LEEULOOP JET - Stewards permission, running in a Feature race at Scottsville on the 26th of April 2015. After the running of the first race, after consultation with the Track Manager and Riders, the going was changed from good to soft, to soft. The Stewards ruled that this change be retrospective.
