The start of this race was delayed due to SIREN'S CALL having spread its left front shoe en route to the start which had to be attended to by the Course Farrier. As this filly proved to be very fractious during this procedure, there was a significant delay. ZRINSKI lost one length. Jockey Kennedy reported that ROSALIE took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Cormack reported that he felt something amiss with LEMON TEA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. PINE PRINCESS, SIREN'S CALL and PATCHIT UP BABY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ZRINSKI raced equipped with cheek pieces. Vet: ROSALIE and LEMON TEA - examined post race, no significant findings.
