SAINT DONAN, which was restless in the stalls, kicked the back gates. Trainer Maeder will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before its next engagement. TAJ AMIR broke through the front gate, was immediately restrained, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon declared fit to race and was reloaded, causing a delay. Trainer Prestage will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before its next engagement. EASTERN FRONT jumped awkwardly. TAJ AMIR was hanging in from the 400m. In view of the performance from TAJ AMIR, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. In view of the performance from SIMPLY BLACK, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. EASTERN FRONT and BOLD VAR were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WESTERN FORCE raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: SIMPLY BLACK and TAJ AMIR - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: TOM STRONG - injured left fore knee in transit.
