VIVALDA was nervous in the stalls, flyjumped. TAIPAI TIGRESS was nervous in the stalls. DANCING DEBS (AUS) was slow away, lost 2 lengths. Permission was granted for VIVALDA to be led to the start with a lead horse. Permission was granted for PRINCESS OF ICE to be led to the start with a lead horse. Jockey S Khumalo signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that he rode BELLE COCO in an unprofessional manner by dropping his crop at the 300 metre mark. He was given a Warning. Jockey Lerena reported that TAIPAI TIGRESS made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running and he did not persevere with his ride over the final 200 metres. FACINATING FILLY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TAIPAI TIGRESS - abnormal respiratory noise, short left hind. ARABICA - coughed post race.
