The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the tongue tie on GYPSY BALLAD having to be refitted at the start. BEATING HEART was restless in the stalls. Trainer Vos was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. CARELESS WHISPER was stubborn loading and lost 2 lengths. The starting stalls certificate for this filly has been withdrawn until recertified tractable. In view of the performances from WANDIE'S and MOLLY MILLER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. In the concluding stages MELLIFLORA was carried in by MIESQUE'S STORM, which was hanging in and shifted inwards. PANCHATANTA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PANCHATANTA raced without a tongue tie. GYPSY BALLAD raced equipped with alumite bar shoes in front, alumites behind. Vet: WANDIE'S - examined post race, no significant findings. MOLLY MILLER - mouth injury; not striding out right front.
