SEVEN GRAND was fractious in the stalls, was taken out and then reloaded, causing a delay. Trainer Bass will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. CRYSTAL CAVERN which was fractious, and reared in the stalls, dislodged the rider, was taken out, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon declared fit to race and was reloaded, causing a delay. CRYSTAL CAVERN jumped awkwardly and stumbled shortly after the start. Trainer Marcus will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. CAT AND THE MOON was slow, losing one length. MISS LINK was slow, losing one length. CRYSAL CAVERN was baulked for a number of strides at about the 300m. Jockey Lerena reported that CRYSTAL CAVERN did not stride out freely in the latter stages and as a result did not persevere with his riding. In view of the performance from HARVARD CRIMSON, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. MOONSONG MAGIC, which was hanging in, brushed CAPTAIN'S DOVE leaving the 400m. CAT AND THE MOON became tightened and was held up for a clear run between the 300m and 200m. ELUSIVE STARS was forced to ease off the heels of FEAR NOT in the concluding stages and as a result was unable to ride out to the finish. SUNSET TRIPP was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Khathi rode CAT AND THE MOON. The Club's Medical Officer stood down Jockey Fayd'Herbe for the remainder of the day on medical grounds. Vet: CRYSTAL CAVERN - returned not striding out, and bumped her head in the stalls. HARVARD CRIMSON - returned not striding out.
