HERMANUS jumped inwards and was slow, losing 1 length. In view of the performance from MAJOR VAUGHAN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Apprentice Murray, the rider of MCGEEK, had his crop accidentally struck from his hand at the 150m. Apprentice Munger, the rider of NOAH FOREVER, appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and spoken to with regards to the correct use of his crop. IMPERIAL KING was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MAJOR VAUGHAN raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: MAJOR VAUGHAN - not striding out left front. D'VASH - post race distress.
