CAN'T DENY IT lost 1 length. CALAMITY JAMES lost 2 lengths. JAMAICANMINALOUSHE was difficult to load. DE LA RIO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DE LA RIO shifted in at approximately the 300 metre mark, carrying GUILTY AS CHARGED, ROY'S CANNON, CALAMITY JAMES, PRINCE OF ARABIA and JAMAICANMINALOUSHE inwards, resulting in GUILTY AS CHARGED and ROY'S CANNON being severely cramped for galloping room and eased badly for a number of strides. This resulted in CALAMITY JAMES becoming unbalanced and turned outwards. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward regarding this incident which was followed by an Objection lodged by a Stipendiary Steward on behalf of the fifth placed horse, GUILTY AS CHARGED, against the winner, DE LA RIO, on the grounds of interference at approximately the 300 metre mark. The Board, after viewing the patrol videos from the various angles, hearing all the evidence upheld the Objection and amended the Judge's result. The Board, after considering the nature/severity of the interference and the number of horses involved, disqualified DE LA RIO. JAMICANMINALOUSHE proved difficult in the parade and had to be led to the start. This gelding is suspended indefinitely and thereafter until proceeding to the start on a race day to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Board. In view of the Starter's Report concerning JAMAICANMINALOUSHE the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion on a race day. Apprentice Godden reported that CAN'T DENY IT took no interest in running. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Marcus was treated for flu. Unfit to ride for the balance of the race meeting. Vet: CAN'T DENY IT - not striding out right fore. Scratched: CAN YOU HEAR ME - not eating up. SHOW ME HEAVEN - rapped tendon.
