HERE WE ARE and STORMY CAT (ARG) were slow into stride. SOCIETI jumped awkwardly, losing one length. STORMY CAT (ARG) was difficult to load. MELANCHETE was restless in the stalls. HERE WE ARE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The start of this Race was reviewed with regard to SOCIETI and the Board, after viewing the patrol videos from the various angles, were satisfied that this filly was not impeded by a Handler or faulty mechanism and therefore declared SOCIETI to be a runner. MIDANSWER shifted in shortly after the start, carrying HERE WE ARE inwards, resulting in HERE WE ARE becoming cramped for galloping room and being forced to ease. This resulted in SOCIETI having to be eased momentarily along the inside the running rail. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. SURI was hanging in, in the straight. HERE WE ARE was continuously baulked between the 300 and 150 metre marks and thereafter was switched out to obtain a clear run. WHISTLING WONDER was continuously baulked between the 300 and 150 metre marks and thereafter switched in to obtain a clear run. MELANCHETE and MIDANSWER brushed on a number of occasions passing the 100 metre mark. In view of the Starter's report concerning STORMY CAT (ARG), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion.
