AMAS AMAT was changing legs in the latter part of this race. SUPER TROUPER hanging out from approximately the 200 metre mark, causing MADIGAN to ease at the 150 metre mark. Apprentice Marwing was spoken to by the Stipendiary Board in regards to this incident. Stable Employee Venter was brought before the Stipendiary Board and questioned into the improved running of the winner QUICK GLANCE. His explanation to the Board was that this horse was marginally slow away last time. He also explained that he had changed this horse's work pattern. He explained that this was the only reason he could give the Board. Mr Venter was reminded about the Rule pertaining to inconsistent running. Mr Venter's explanation was noted by the Board. QUICK GLANCE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: AMAS AMAT - was examined after the race and nothing untoward found. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
