ICE STYLE was slow, losing one length and shortly thereafter was carried outwards by ARCHIE (R Khathi), which jumped outwards. In view of the performance from REGAL RULER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. CANADIAN DOLLAR pulled hard in the early and middle stages and threw its head up on a number of occasions. HAWA HAWAII pulled hard early. An Inquiry will be opened into an incident that occurred in the pull up area after the finish. STORM FAERIE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CANADIAN DOLLAR raced fitted with cheek pieces. Vet: REGAL RULER - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. BROADBAND - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: RIVER BLAZE - nasal discharge. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
