The start of this Race was delayed due to ROYAL TRIP proving reluctant to proceed to the start. ROYAL TRIP was stubborn loading. IWO JIMA lost 2 lengths. FORM UP lost 3 lengths. In view of ROYAL TRIP proving reluctant to proceed to the start, Trainer Ferreira was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. In view of the performance from ALL THE BIDS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Lerena, the rider of FORM UP, Jockey Naude, the rider of KISS ME HARDY, reported that their respective mounts took no interest in running. LAVENDER LANDSCAPE and UNCLE TOMMY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ALL THE BIDS - not striding out right front. FORM UP - not striding out left front. KISS ME HARDY and ROYAL TRIP - abnormal respiratory noise.
