JAMBOREE and BATTLE HAMMER were slow into stride. HAMELIN BAY lost 1 length. NOBLE STAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ECO STORM shifted in near the 2200 metre mark, carrying TAEGAN'S JET in resulting in TAEGAN'S JET and CHILLINGHAM making contact. This caused TAEGAN'S JET to become unbalanced and CHILLINGHAM becoming cramped and having to be eased. In addition TANABURS and MAACHAAN (AUS) became cramped for a number of strides. Thereafter TAEGAN'S JET over-raced in the early stages. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. TANABURS was hanging out in the final straight. NOBLE STAR shifted out slightly near the 300 metre mark, resulting in YOUR WORSHIP becoming cramped and JAY POWER becoming cramped and having to be eased. Thereafter near the 200 metre mark NOBLE STAR again shifted out slightly making contact with YOUR WORSHIP, resulting in NOBLE STAR and YOUR WORSHIP becoming unbalanced. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward which was followed by an Objection lodged by Mr Bosch, trainer of the second placed horse, YOUR WORSHIP, against the winner, NOBLE STAR, on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Board after viewing the patrol videos from the various angles and hearing all the evidence were of the opinion that despite this incident YOUR WORSHIP would not have beaten NOBLE STAR and therefore over-ruled the Objection and allowed the Judge's result to stand. The deposit was refunded. JAY POWER returned post race having cast the right fore shoe. In view of the performance of TAEGAN'S JET, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Yeni reported that PRINCESS BEACH was making an abnormal respiratory noise post race. Vet: JAY POWER - respiratory noise. TAEGAN'S JET - not striding out right fore. PRINCESS BEACH - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: GO WEST MCGRAW - Stipes Permission - qualified for Chapter Challenge 13.6.2015.
