WEASEL was nervous in the stalls. LATINO RAMBO was slow away and lost 3 lengths. DANCE AND DESTROY (AUS), TRIPSWITCH and COUNT ZAFONIC were slow into stride. Permission was granted for PONOKA to be led to the start with a lead horse. HIDDEN DRAGON pulled in the early stages and was hanging inwards in the home straight. WEASEL became unbalanced and hung inwards passing the 400 metre mark, shifted inwards and caused PREMIERSHIP to be carried in and steadied, thereafter WEASEL made contact with DANCE AND DESTROY (AUS), who in turn made contact with VALMODE and VALMODE made contact with COUNT ZAFONIC's hind quarters, which resulted in VALMODE and COUNT ZAFONIC becoming unbalanced for several strides. Simultaneously HIDDEN DRAGON was hanging inwards to the outside of WEASEL. This incident will be reviewed by the Stipendiary Board. Jockey Khathi, the rider of WOODSTOCK EXPRESS, accidentally knocked Jockey Webber the rider of MILKEN, crop from his hand in the closing stages. Jockey Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with TANGO CHARLIE approaching the 200 metre mark and did not persevere with his ride. MAMBO ITALIANO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HIDDEN DRAGON raced in Club Colours. DANCE AND DESTROY (AUS) raced with a tongue tie. Vet: TANGO CHARLIE - right fore deep flexor tendon injury. WEASEL - short in front uneven behind. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
