SUN SILK STAR jumped outwards, making contact with the hind quarters of GYPSY BALLAD, resulting in SUN SILK STAR being slow into stride. In view of the performance from GYPSY BALLAD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Penny reported that he felt something amiss with SUN SILK STAR in running. ON THE THAMES, which over-raced in the early stages, became awkwardly placed on the heels of JEWEL COLLECTION and had to ease for a number of strides at approximately the 1200m. LEGEND'S MOON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GYPSY BALLAD raced equipped with alumite bar shoes in front, alumites behind. Vet: GYPSY BALLAD and SUN SILK STAR - not striding out right front. Scratched: HEART FLOWER - not striding out right front.
