Workrider Gwingwizha did not ride at today's racemeeting (family bereavement). Jockey's Khumalo and Wrogemann did not ride at today's racemeeting. They were replaced on their mounts. THE ALMOND and SUZIE WONG were slow into stride. BE SEATED jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the start Work rider Lukhele, the rider of LADY JIBE, briefly lost his left-side stirrup iron and thereafter this filly was difficult to settle in the early stages. SECRET ANGEL had to ease off the heels of SCARLETT ICE, which shifted in slightly at the 1400m. Workrider Hewitson was charged with a contravention in that he, as the rider of SCARLETT ICE, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SECRET ANGEL when he shifted in at the 1400m. Workrider Hewitson signed an Admission of Guilt and a penalty of a Warning was imposed. SCARLETT ICE was hanging in from the 600m. PRIDE IN BATTLE was bumped outwards at approximately the 1400m by PHUZA, who was carried out by TEOFILO'S GEM (AUS), which proved difficult to settle in the early stages and shifted out marginally. Thereafter the saddle on PRIDE IN BATTLE slipped forward which placed Workrider Duma at a severe disadvantage. BE SEATED cast its left front shoe in running. DIAMONDINTHEDARK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THE ALMOND raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: PHUZA - overreach right front. TEOFILO'S GEM (AUS) - abnormal respiratory noise. BE SEATED - not striding out right front. Scratched: SPURWING SUMMER - no suitable rider available.
