EX'S 'N OH'S (*J R Syster) was slow into stride. DARK SONG (*L J Ferraris) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. Jockey M Yeni reported that DECADENT LADY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Apprentice L J Ferraris reported that he felt something amiss with DARK SONG in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. At approximately the 150m COLOUR OF LIGHT (L Hewitson) which shifted in away from the crop was brushed outwards by WAY OF THE WORLD (C Habib) which was bumped out by GLOWTORIA (G Lerena) which shifted out sharply. A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by a member of the Stipendiary Board on behalf of the third placed horse (WAY OF THE WORLD) against the second placed horse (GLOWTORIA) on the grounds of interference at the 150m. This was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey L Hewitson the rider of the 4th placed horse COLOUR OF LIGHT against the 2nd placed horse GLOWTORIA (G Lerena) on the grounds of interference at 150m. OBJECTION 1: COLOUR OF LIGHT (L Hewitson) placed 4th against GLOWTORIA (G Lerena) the 2nd placed horse. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board overruled the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Board considered the inward movement of COLOUR OF LIGHT as well as the distance of 0.45 lengths at the finish line and therefore overruled the objection. Jockey Hewitson's deposit was refunded. OBJECTION 2: WAY OF THE WORLD (C Habib) placed 3rd against GLOWTORIA (G Lerena) placed 2nd. After considering the evidence the Board was of the opinion that this incident had affected the result and WAY OF THE WORLD would have finished ahead of GLOWTORIA but for this interference. Trainer D N Stenger advised (AH). SENECA FALLS was ridden by Apprentice C F Dicken who claimed a 2,5kg allowance (declared 29 June 2020 07H25). OCEANIA raced with a cornell collar (declared 3 July 2019). VET: DECADENT LADY not striding out left fore. DARK SONG examined post race, nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHED: TWELVE OAKS insufficient recovery time (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). BRITANNIA QUEEN, MUSAYTARA and MERCER GIRL reserve runners. Advised 30 June 2020 at 08H16.
