SNOW ROSE, MIDANSWER and TRIPLE O SEVEN were slow into stride. PREAMBLE jumped awkwardly, squeezed out shortly after the start losing 1 length. GOLDEN MIRABILIS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Puller was questioned regarding the improved performance of GOLDEN MIRABILIS compared to this filly's previous run on the 3.6.2015. Mr Puller stated that on that occasion this filly had raced to the front, without cover, down the straight and compounded in the latter stages. As a result for today's run he had instructed Apprentice Ngwane to race this filly from a handy position with cover and this, in his opinion, had accounted for the improved performance. Mr Puller's explanation has been noted. MELANCHETE and MOKAI over-raced in the early stages. In view of the performances of ROYAL HONEYMOON and PREAMBLE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly and this mare. WHISTLING WONDER baulked for a clear run between the 400 and 200 metre marks. TRIPLE O SEVEN baulked for a clear run shortly before the finish. Vet: ROYAL HONEYMOON - not striding out left fore. PREAMBLE - nothing obvious detected.
