PENA PALACE, ZARA'S LEGACY and RAVISHING ROMANCE lost 1 length. NORIKI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey de Melo, the rider of SWORD STORM, accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 50 metre mark. PENA PALACE was pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to restrain. Jockey Randolph reported that THE ARABIAN coughing post race. Vet: THE ARABIAN - nothing obvious detected. MAYA THE BEE - mouth injury. STYLE BY RAYNE - cut into right hind. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
