THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE LATE ARRIVAL OF THE COURSE MEDICAL OFFICER. SOLDIERS SONG (+V Sithetho) was slow into stride. CAPPELLA MAGNA (+T Ncume) was slow losing two lengths. Leaving the 300m TEMPLE OF REASON (+P Jevu) had to steady when awkwardly placed between CITY DEEP (+K Fisher) and KRATOS POWER (+S Mosia) which had come to the end of its run after over racing in the early stages. FRITZ (+J Gwingwizha) commenced to give ground to the field from the 600m. Work Rider T Baase reported that he felt something amiss with VETRI VEL in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning VETRI VEL, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer C Woodruff was advised. Work Rider S Mosia reported that he felt something amiss with KRATOS POWER in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to this gelding. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning KRATOS POWER, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
