KATIE EM was nervous in the stalls. THE WHITE FLOWER and MYSTICAL MOUSE were nervous in the stalls and reared. SOLS GOLD was slow away and lost 3 lengths. Permission was granted for SHAKE AND BAKE and MYSTICAL MOUSE to be led to the start with a lead horse. SWEET PARADE over-raced in the early stages. Jockey Agrella reported that SMASHVILLE was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Gould reported that he felt something amiss with SOLS GOLD in the final 400 metres. CHELSEA over-raced in the early stages and compounded passing the 300 metre mark, shifted outwards from the crop and VADE MECUM clipped his heels, and eased. MY PRECIOUS steadied for several strides from VADE MECUM. PURELY ATOMIC (AUS) shifted both ways away from the crop in the final 200 metres and carried MISS IMPERIAL inwards shortly before the finish. A race review was called into this incident. After reviewing the patrol films the Board decided to take no further action. PURELY ATOMIC (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SLUICE GATE raced with a tongue tie. Vet: VANISHING SAILS - speedy cut bulb left hind. MASSACHUSETTS - bilateral epistaxis 90 days suspension. SMASHVILLE - short in front uneven behind. MY PRECIOUS and SOLS GOLD - coughed post race. SLUICE GATE - short left fore, cast shoe. VADE MECUM - speedy cut bulb left hind and cast shoe.
