ASTRO and ALWAYS AL lost 1 length. WILL PAYS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RACING FOR FUN over-raced for a short distance near the 1000 metre mark. ALWAYS AL was switched in off the heels of AWARE near the 100 metre mark. WILL PAYS, hanging in, shifted in, in the latter stages, resulting in ENTREE shifting in and ASTRO being inconvenienced on the inside of ENTREE. Jockey Marcus, the rider of WILL PAYS, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. ASTRO raced fitted with his tongue tied down. Scratched: AZINCOURT - lame left fore. BURRA BOY - respiratory infection.
