The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. MYSTIC TIGRESS and SEATTLE FAIRY were stubborn to load. RAZZLE MY TAZZLE was stubborn loading. Trainer was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. Jockey Penny was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse IRISH GRACE more than three times on consecutive strides in the concluding stages. Jockey Penny signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. Jockey Khumalo reported that CAPE MARIGOLD changed strides continually in running. IRISH GRACE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CAPE MARIGOLD - abrasion left hind. Scratched: PRINCESS PEARL - lame left front. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
