The start of this Race was delayed due to ZACHARIAS having to be removed from the track, which resulted in the maintenance of the polytrack being delayed. GEMINI GOLD, ZORTZIKO and STORM SURF were slow into stride. TUSCAN (ARG) and GREY LIGHT lost one length. TUSCAN (ARG) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HARRISON was switched out near the 300 metre mark, off the heels of SALESMAN to obtain a clear run. Simultaneously SALESMAN shifted out slightly resulting in HARRISON shifting out and ZORTZIKO becoming cramped and having to be eased for a number of strides. Thereafter HARRISON and TUSCAN (ARG) made contact. Jockey Marcus reported that he felt something amiss with STORM SURF in running and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. In view of the performance of GREY LIGHT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Vet: STORM SURF and GREY LIGHT - nothing obvious detected. SALESMAN - coughing.
