CASSIUS COLT (*K Sakayi), FIRST KNIGHT (N Patel) anad SAN VERDE (A Marcus) lost 1 length, respectively. At the 150m, TIGER TANK (*J Gates) was carried out by JUBILATE (M Yeni) which shifted out away from the crop. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, Jockey M Yeni (JUBILATE) dropped his left side rein which he only regained after the finish. Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with NOBLE FLIGHT (6.00 lengths) post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Jockey A Marcus signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse SAN VERDE more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey A Marcus, the Board considered the number of times (17) Jockey Marcus struck the horse SAN VERDE, the distance over which and manner in which Jockey A Marcus used his crop and his record (1) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of R1000 was imposed. Jockey G Lerena signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse ALL TIME HIGH more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey G Lerena, the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey Lerena struck the horse ALL TIME HIGH, the distance over which and manner in which Jockey G Lerena used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. TYRELLS BULLET (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Spies advised (ML). TIGER TANK : Raced fitted with alumites both fore and unshod behind (advised 13h16/30.06.2020). SIDESWIPE : Raced fitted with alumites both fore and unshod behind (advised 06h08/03.07.2020). VET : JUBILATE : Spread left hind shoe. NOBLE FLIGHT : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : IMPERIOUS DUKE : Reserve runner. THRACE : Reserve runner. ARTHUR SHELBY : Under 8 days suspension.
