DEPUTY RYDER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. A tiring ROYAL DENISE (AUS) shifted in at approximately the 350 metre mark and was forced to ease off the heels of COUNTING ANGELS. Thereafter Jockey Fourie, the rider of ROYAL DENISE (AUS), did not persevere with his ride over the final 200 metres. Jockey de Melo, the rider of SAN TRIP, and Jockey Yeni, the rider of ROC 'N ROSE, reported that their respective mounts were changing legs in running. DEPUTY RYDER was hanging in, in the latter stages. Vet: ROYAL DENISE (AUS) - nothing obvious detected. SAN TRIP - fatigued/blowing ROC 'N ROSE - not striding out right hind and cut into right hind. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
