Prior to the start of the Race Meeting, and which changes were disseminated in due time, all the Carded Times of the Races today were amended, due to the postponement of Race 8 at Greyville Racecourse. CIGRETTE spread the right fore shoe, which the farrier repaired at the start, causing a slight delay. LATERAL THINKING jumped awkwardly with her head up, losing two lengths. KING'S KITTEN, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. The saddle on KING'S FIRE slipped back in running placing the rider at a disadvantage. Work rider Ndlebe, the rider of QUEEN'S CIRCUS, appeared before the Board and he was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the end of a race in future. LOVAR and CIGRETTE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LOVAR raced without a tongue tie. Vet: KING'S FIRE - returned with speedy cut on the right hind. CIGRETTE - returned having spread the left hind shoe.
