TRACES (AUS) (D Dillon) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. PLEASEDTOMEETYOU (G Lerena) was restless in the stalls. Shortly after the start, FILIPPO ( R Fourie) was bumped in by TRACES (AUS) (D Dillon) which jumped in. A race review, pertaining to PLEASEDTOMEETYOU (G Lerena) drawn in stall gate 12, was called into the start of this race. In this regard, it was established that as the start was effected, PLEASEDTOMEETYOU (G Lerena) had become restless in the stalls, jumped out and bumped DI MAZZIO (AUS) (B Jacobson). In reviewing this incident, the Board was of the view that any distance lost by PLEASEDTOMEETYOU (G Lerena) was as a result of PLEASEDTOMEETYOU'S own behaviour therefore, no further action was taken and PLEASEDTOMEETYOU (G Lerena) was deemed to be a runner. BWANA (A Marcus) was hanging in from the 400m. Apprentice T Gumede (SKIDOO) briefly dropped his right side rein at the 250m. TRACES (AUS) (D Dillon) was hanging in from the 300m, proving difficult to assist. FILIPPO (R Fourie) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. In view of the performance of PLEASEDTOMEETYOU (G Lerena) (distance 9.90 lengths, betting 17/4), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. BWANA (A Marcus) the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford advised (DA). Jockey D Dillon replaced Jockey B Fayd'herbe on TRACES (AUS) (advised 15h52/03.07.2020). CALVARY raced unshod both fore and fitted with alumites behind (advised 13h16/30.06.2020).
