The start of this Race was delayed while the farrier attended to the hind shoes on EVERCELL. BANJO BAY and N-AGAIN were slow into stride. Jockey Greyling felt something amiss approaching the 1400m with N-AGAIN and immediately eased this gelding out the race. IL PALIO shifted out away from the crop between the 300m and the 200m and thereafter was hanging out. In view of the performance from BANJO BAY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. EVERCELL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BANJO BAY and N-AGAIN - examined post race, no significant findings.
