ISOSHA was slow into stride. In view of the performances of WELLESLEY and TABREEK (AUS), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. SON OF APPROVAL was hanging in from the 400m. MASTER 'N COMMANDER and ISOSHA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TABREEK (AUS) raced equipped with alumites in front and steels behind. Vet: WELLESLEY - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. TABREEK (AUS) - blowing heavily post race. Scratched: TRIP TO RIO - lame right front. CAPRICORN RIDGE - with the Stewards permission. This gelding was a winner of the 23rd of July and incurred a penalty for this win. Trainer de Kock did not want to run the horse at the revised weights and after consultation with the Stipendiary Board, permission was granted to scratch this horse. DECKIE BOY - viral infection.
