FORT EAGLE and CHEDWIN PARK were slow into stride. KING AND EMPIRE stumbled at the jump. Jockey Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with FORT EAGLE in running. KING AND EMPIRE was hanging in from the 300m. SONG JET was hanging in, in the concluding stages. RED SCIMITAR cast its left front shoe in running. RED SCIMITAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Moore was questioned regarding RED SCIMITAR'S improved performance. He explained to the Board that in this geldings run on the 23rd of July he had raced in the worst of the kick back and in today's race, they had elected to race him wide around the bend in order to keep him out of the kick back. Mr Moore has undertaken that where possible, they will adopt similar tactics in future. His explanation was noted. Vet: FORT EAGLE, SONG JET and CHEDWIN PARK - abnormal respiratory noise.
