In view of the Starter's report with regard to RUSSIAN MAGIC (K Steyn), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. At approximately the 150m, GIMME A RAINBOW (W Agrella) which was hanging in from the 250m had to steady when running onto the heels of SOUL TRAIN (T Gould). Thereafter when racing in close quarters SOUL TRAIN rolled out marginally shortly before the finish. An objection was lodged by Jockey W Agrella on behalf of the second placed horse GIMME A RAINBOW against the winner SOUL TRAIN (T Gould) on the grounds on interference and intimidation in the concluding stages. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board overruled the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Board took into consideration the extent to which GIMME A RAINBOW was hanging in and the fact that the outward movement from SOUL TRAIN was marginal. Therefore, the objection Board was of the opinion that this incident had not affected the result of the race and allowed the Judges result to stand. Jockey Agrella's deposit was refunded. The members of the Objection Board gave careful consideration to withholding Jockey Agrella's deposit as they were of the opinion that there was not a realistic chance of success and that the objection was unwarranted. However, given the current state of racing with regards the enforced Covid-19 lockdown and its financial impact on the role players, the Board decided to refund the objection deposit of R5840.
