STARLIGHT BEAUTY jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. DEEPO was slow away and lost 3 lengths. In view of the performance of STRONG SCENT, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer Sham was advised to report back should she find anything untoward with this mare on its return to the stables Jockey Cheyne reported that STARLIGHT BEAUTY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. NATIONAL FOREST was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J V A Strydom, acting on behalf of Trainer J H, Strydom was questioned regarding the improved performance of NATIONAL FOREST compared to her previous race on the 24 July 2015. He explained that in his opinion this mare enjoyed this course and distance. The Board noted this explanation and drew Trainer Strydom attention to the rules pertaining in and out running. Vet: STRONG SCENT - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. STARLIGHT BEAUTY and MARRIAGE VOWS - abnormal respiratory noise.
