TRACKMASTER was slow into stride. EVENING STORM jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Khathi was charged with a contravention, in that he was unable to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horse SHEPHERDS PURSE, or at the weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which resulted in a change of rider. Jockey Khathi signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. In view of the performance from RED PERIL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that TRACKMASTER did not stride out freely in running, and made an abnormal respiratory noise. Jockey Domeyer reported that EVENING STORM took no interest in running. ITSTARTEDWITHAKISS raced wide around the bend. THAT COWBOY KID was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: RED PERIL and EVENING STORM - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. TRACKMASTER - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise.
