DIESEL POWER was slow into stride. DIESEL POWER raced to the front and compounded in the straight. In view of the performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. WINDY EXPRESS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DUSK TO DAWN raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: DUSK TO DAWN - Epistaxis, 90 day suspension. DIESEL POWER - examined post race, no significant findings. Scratched: ESCUDO - abnormal temperature. BIG SHOT and COLONEL ROCKJAW - insufficient recovery time. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected for breathalyser tests and the taking of urine samples for analysis.
