THE GOLDEN BOY lost 1 length. In view of the performance from STREAK, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Apprentice Munger reported that he felt something amiss with BEVELLED EDGE in running. Jockey Danielson reported that FAIR DEAL made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. TAEGAN'S JET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Nassif was questioned regarding the improved performance of TAEGAN'S JET, Trainer Nassif explained to the Board that the removal of the blinkers and the additional distance of today's race had accounted for the improvement. This explanation was noted. WISE GEEK (ZIM) raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: STREAK - blowing heavily post race. BEVELLED EDGE - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. FAIR DEAL - no respiratory noise detected post race. WISE GEEK (ZIM) - post race distress.
