ROYAL TRIP was very stubborn loading and lost 2 lengths. The starting stalls certificate for this filly has been withdrawn until recertified tractable. FLAME CAT (AUS) was stubborn loading. Assistant Trainer Azzie was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. Apprentice Murray reported that he felt something amiss with WOLVERINA and eased this filly out the race at approximately the 600m. Jockey Maujean reported that ROYAL TRIP did not stride out freely in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 150m. Trainer Ferreira was requested to report back on the condition of ROYAL TRIP on return to the stables. JO MALONE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SARVE - cut into right hind. FLAME CAT (AUS) - abnormal respiratory noise. WOLVERINA - coughing; overreach left front, severe. CRYSTAL'S REVENGE - scalped left hind. JO MALONE - Epistaxis and was suspended for a period of 90 days from racing.
