Jockey Randolph, Jockey Sturgeon and Jockeys Daniels did not ride at today's meeting (medically indisposed). The start of the 1st Race was slightly delayed as a result of HANNAH'S ANSWER getting her foot caught over the partition and having to be removed from the starting stalls. Checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. HANNAH'S ANSWER reared in the stalls and was removed. Checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded. MARTITA RIDGE and PLACID SEA were slow into stride. BAY OF ROCHELLE, JOLLERIE and SMACK lost 1 length. WHATAWONDAFULWORLD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Delpech, the rider of SARAABA (AUS), reported the bit broke at approximately the 1000 metre mark resulting in him being unable to fully assist or encourage his mount thereafter. The bit was inspected by the Stipendiary Board and ascertained that where it had broken would not have been apparent to the trainer and was in otherwise good condition. Jockey Taylor reported that he felt something amiss with KHONZA in running. Due to the performances of SARAABA (AUS) and BAY OF ROCHELLE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. MARTITA RIDGE and PERFUME GIRL both raced green. HANNAH'S ANSWER was hanging in over the final 200 metres and shifted in slightly at approximately the 50 metre mark, simultaneously SEVENTH MOMENT shifted out slightly resulting in these two fillies brushing on two occasions. In view of the Starter's report concerning HANNAH'S ANSWER, the starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Delpech was treated for post surgery complication. Unfit to ride for the balance of the race meeting. Vet: SARAABA (AUS) - not striding out right fore. BAY OF ROCHELLE and KHONZA - nothing obvious detected. PERFUME GIRL - abnormal respiratory noise, choked up.
