Please be advised that Jockey Herholdt was unable to fulfil his riding engagements at Borrowdale Park. GEISHA GREY and FLAMING FANTASTIC were both slow to jump losing half a length each. The start of this race was delayed due to the parachutists landing late on the racecourse. EQUUS POWER was hanging in, in the final 400 metres. In view of the performance of ALMIGHTY HOOD, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was asked to examine this horse. NIMBLE DANCER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WITH DISTINCTION raced with alumites on. DORA raced with cheek pieces off and tongue tie on. Vet: WITH DISTINCTION - examined post race and found to have sustained a cut (speedy cut) to the medial aspect of right fetlock. ALMIGHTY HOOD - examined post race and nothing significant found.
