Light rain fell prior to and during the running of this Race. The start of this Race was delayed due the farrier having to replace the left fore shoe on THE LONSDALE at the start. ORACLE KINGDOM was restless and reared in the stalls just before the start was effected and was impeded by the Handler. AGUERO and VANESSA'S PRIDE were restless in the stalls. TRIPTRONIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The start of this Race was reviewed. The Board, after viewing the start from the various angles, confirmed that ORACLE KINGDOM reared shortly before the start was effected and that this gelding was impeded by the Handler and therefore declared ORACLE KINGDOM a non-runner. STEEPLE was hanging in, in the straight. THE LONSDALE was hanging in, in the latter stages. Jockey de Melo, the rider of STORMATIC (distance), under the impression that something was amiss with this gelding eased him out of the race from the 400 metre mark. Y'RETHEONE shifted out slightly near the 150 metre mark, resulting in AGUERO having to be eased. WHITLEY WILLOWS, hanging out, shifted out slightly shortly before the finish inconveniencing Y'RETHEONE. THE LONSDALE returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. TRIPTRONIC raced with a tongue tie. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Randolph stood down after the running of this Race with dehydration. Vet: STORMATIC - coughing. CARLIN - bilateral epistaxis, 90 days suspension. Scratched: ORACLE KINGDON - declared to be non-runner.
