Heavy Rain fell prior to and during the running of this Race. The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay in the previous Races and the farrier having to replace the right fore shoe on ROYAL DENISE (AUS) at the start. BAREGA was stubborn to load. Trainer Wright was advised to re-school this filly. BAREGA was slow into stride. SYRINGA lost one length. PRINCESS TANTAN (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Habib reported that he felt something amiss with ROYAL DENISE (AUS) in the latter stages. EUTHALIA was hanging in, in the straight. MISSMASALA was hanging in, in the latter stages. SYRINGA was hanging out in the latter stages. Vet: ROYAL DENISE (AUS) - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SUEDETTE - no transport. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
